The Nocona Public Library Advisory Board Meeting is held every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 4:00 pm. 

A notice will be posted on the door of the library prior to each meeting.  If anyone would like to attend a meeting to present an ideal or an issue to the board please contact Karen at the library to be placed on the agenda.

Friends of the Library and Nocona Public Library will be hosting a Children's Easter Story time on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 10:00.  Children of ages are welcome!

Story Time at the library is held at various times of the year.  The library will announce upcoming dates and time here and on the library Facebook page.  Scheduled events include our Summer Reading Program and certain holiday breaks.

If you would like to come join in the fun and read for the children or bring a group of children to have Story Time the library would love to have you!

Did you know.....

Thanks to a grant received by the Friends of the Nocona Public Library and the Nocona Public Library, the complete collection of Nocona News issues from 1905 forward are available free and online.

The grant from the Tocker Foundation for $20,700 allowed for the digitization of issues from 1905-1965; and further funding through the University of North Texas Libraries Digital Newspaper Unit allowed for the additional years to be included.  The Tocker Foundation promotes Texas public libraries in communities of 12,000 or less.

 If you love history or do genealogy this is a great asset for our community!  Be sure to check out The Portal to Texas History at  https://texashistory.unt.edu for editions of the newspaper dating back to the early 1900’s.
