Nocona Summer Reading Program

Nocona Public Library ended our 2019 Children's Summer Reading Program with a splash!

Friends of the Library hosted a swim party for the participants at the Nocona Indian Swimming Hole.  There were three age divisions: 0-5 year olds, 6-10 year olds, and 11 and older.  The children competed to see who could read the most pages.  In the 0-3 age group, Raymond Gelo III, read 789 pages to be the top reader.  Julia Flores read 1,534 pages and was the top reader in the 6-10 age group.  The top reader for ages 11 and up was Anna Campsey.  She read 10, 462 pages.  The group read a total of 20,701 pages.  Twenty-five children signed up for the summer program.
